Don’t get me wrong I love summer! White jeans, sandals and a good pair of sunglasses to break me out of the style rut that is winter (goodbye black skinnies), yet after viewing the Jigsaw Autumn/Winter 16 collection all I want to do is throw on a nice big overcoat and enshroud myself in a buttery soft oatmeal knit! The viewing was held at their store on Duke street, showcasing their fall collection – What I love about Jigsaw and pieces I’ve worn in the past is firstly the timeless quality they have, even if the print or colour is unusual they’re always those pieces in my wardrobe that I reach for time and time again (even a candy pink double breasted blazer, my go-to for fun holiday dressing). I also love the fabrics they use in their collections, which compared to the price point for Jigsaw garments are pretty much amazing.
In terms of outerwear my favourite pieces were the houndstooth overcoat, which is one of their staples for winter, and the pale camel pea-coat which is a great shorter alternative to the floor length camel coats we saw last year. Accessories were pared back and minimal but with the luxe edge that Jigsaw does so well – my eyes were fixed on the trainers and backpacks.
