Over the years, Black has been my go to for Winter. It makes sense really; Black is dark, Winter is dark and it’s cold and more knitwear is available in dark hues; so it’s a no brainer really? However after looking back at pictures of my attire as of late I got a little bit (if not a lot) bored of seeing myself in black skinny jeans!
Just because it’s Winter doesn’t mean we have to hibernate into our dark clothing. Introducing the Winter Whites
I’ve always thought there was something quite brave about wearing white in winter, like seeing a woman in a movie wearing a pristine white suit on the equivalent of a muddy assault course and I wince at the thought; however I recent decided to pair my white jeans with other muter hues for a fresh winter look – and a way to break in my latest purchase (hey Saint Laurent!)
I dug out a jumper I’ve had for a few years, along with an oatmeal coloured t-shirt from Reiss to pair with my white skinnies. I then finished off the look with some brown suede boots (not pictured), my classic Louis Vuitton monogram scarf thrown over my shoulders and my new Saint Lauren Sac Du Jour in Tan Leather.
To take the look a step further and maybe make it a little warmer, a camel overcoat would help to layer the look and make it a little more formal.
